Our Journey To Raw
Our journey to discovering the benefits of raw food started three years ago with our beloved dogs, who had been on kibble for their entire lives.
The turning point came when we brought in a dog whisperer to help with our Yorkie, Coco. During the session, the topic of raw food came up. The dog whisperer explained that feeding dogs and cats kibble, even premium brands recommended by vets, is akin to giving them "fast food" for every meal. Kibble is loaded with fillers and ingredients that we wouldn't want our pets to consume. Traditionally, carnivorous animals ate mostly meat and bones, consuming every part of their prey – muscles, bones, organs, and more.
Our switch to raw food was nothing short of transformative. Almost immediately, we noticed that our dogs drank significantly less water because they were getting much of their hydration from the raw food itself. Their digestive health improved dramatically as well. Within a week or two, their poop became smaller and less frequent, indicating that their bodies were absorbing more nutrients from the food. Remarkably, the poop would turn white and crumble away, a stark contrast to the waste produced on kibble.
Their physical condition also improved. Within 3-4 weeks, our dogs leaned out and appeared healthier.
